Playwright development lab New Dramatists will honor the Tony Award-winning director Michael Greif at their annual Spring Luncheon Tribute May 14. The prolific director is helming three shows this season alone: Days of Wine and Roses, The Notebook, and Hell's Kitchen.

Greif's Broadway directing credits—spanning nearly four decades—also include Next to Normal, If/Then, Dear Evan Hansenand the original Broadway production of Rent.

“From Downtown to Broadway, and in theatres across the country, Michael Greif has built his outstanding career championing and directing new plays and musicals by legendary writers, including New Dramatists’ alumni Doug Wright, John Guare, Suzan-Lori Parks, Diana Son, Nilo Cruz, Jeffrey Hatcher, Jeffrey M. Jones, Kate Moira Ryan, and Kristoffer Diaz, this season on Hell’s Kitchen,” said New Dramatists artistic director Emily Morse in a statement.

The luncheon will begin with a champagne reception at 11:15 AM at the Marriott Marquis. Individual tickets and tables seating up to 10 are available for purchase; visit here for more information.
