News Money Grubbin' Whores, About Tension-Filled Divorce, Begins Off-Broadway Run Tonight Sean J. Quinn's dark comedy Money Grubbin' Whores plays a four-week limited engagement at Off-Broadway’s The Lion Theatre at Theatre Row beginning Sept. 25.

Directed by Brian Cichocki, the production will officially open Sept. 30.

The cast features Adam Mucci as Matt, James Andrew O’Connor as Frankie, Penny Bittone as Moshe and Carmit Levité as Aviva. Michael Billingsley understudies the roles of Matt and Frankie.

"First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a messy divorce negotiated in the downstairs party room of a Northern New Jersey pizza joint," according to press notes. "In this new dark comedy, NYC union plumber Matt and his gorgeous, Israeli wife Aviva are getting divorced. The back-room deal is mediated by Matt’s best friend Frankie, and Aviva’s cousin Moshe. As the couple battles it out through cultural differences, mixed messages, and high passions, one question remains…what is the price of love?"

The creative team includes scenic designer Patrick J. Rizzotti, lighting designer Paul Hudson, costume designer Autie Carlisle and props designer Kathy Fabian/Propstar.

Money Grubbin' Whores is produced Off-Broadway by Hard Four Productions.
