Splish splash, Matthew Morrison is jumping into the bath. The Glee star and Tony nominee will play Bobby Darin in Just in Time on Broadway for a strictly limited three-week engagement. Morrison will pick up the mic beginning April 1, serving as the hit production's crooner in between originating star Jonathan Groff's final performance March 29, and the beginning of Jeremy Jordan's run April 21.
“Our show is made to fit like a glove around all kinds of virtuoso performers. I'm thrilled to get back in there and tailor the material so it's personal to Matthew Morrison, his journey, his many talents, and to welcome him back home to Broadway where he belongs," said co-book writer Isaac Oliver in a statement.
Morrison is a familiar face on both the stage and screen, with Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe nominations under his belt. He made his debut on Broadway in Footloose, but his big break came when he was cast as heartthrob Link Larkin in Hairspray. Morrison was later nominated for a Tony Award for his role in The Light in the Piazza, and starred in the Tony-winning Broadway revival of South Pacific at Lincoln Center Theater, and as J.M Barrie in the musical Finding Neverland. In addition to his Broadway bonafides, Morrison is best known for starring in Fox’s musical comedy series Glee, where he played the director of the glee club, Mr. Schuester.
Just in Time opened on Broadway April 26, 2025. Tony winner Alex Timbers is at the helm of the immersive staging. The show tracks Darin's life story and sees the lead performer (currently Tony winner Groff) performing the crooner's greatest hits, including "Beyond the Sea," "Splish Splash," and "Mack the Knife."

The work, developed by Timbers and based on an original concept by Ted Chapin, features a book by Tony winner Warren Leight and Oliver (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). Shannon Lewis choreographs with music supervision and arrangements by Andrew Resnick.
