Drag artist and activist Marti Cummings will make their Joe's Pub solo concert debut with Drugs, Drag, and Divorce on May 26. Directed by Michael LaMasa, the concert chronicles the hurdles Cummings has encountered, such as getting sober and getting divorced, and how they turned to drag as an outlet for healing.

The performance will feature Michelle Dowdy (Hairspray), Jamie Cepero (Smash), Mike Rosengarten, Joshua Roberts, and Sean Murphy in the band. Darnell White will serve as musical director.

Cummings has previously performed at the Public Theater's cabaret venue alongside The Skivvies and Brandon Kyle Goodman. Cummings also recently made history moderating a panel at the United Nations on electing queer leaders, and ran for City Council themselves in 2021 as the first openly non-binary candidate.

Drugs, Drag, and Divorce will play for one night only on May 26 at 9 PM at The Public Theater's cabaret venue Joe's Pub. For tickets and more information, visit here.
