A wax figure of Tony winner Billy Porter (Kinky BootsPose) will be displayed in Madame Tussauds New York Times Square.

Donning a memorable Porter look from the 2020 Grammy Awards—styled by Sam Ratelle and featuring a Scott Studenberg-designed turquoise jacket and jumpsuit—the figure will take six months and 20 studio artists to complete in London before arriving at the New York venue.

Porter announced the news ahead of World Kindness Day on November 13. Kindness has been the Tony winner's refrain in his roles and numerous appearances. After making history as the first openly gay, Black man to win an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama, Porter has fought to provide visibility and inspiration to young queer people of all colors.

“I am humbly honored to be receiving my very own wax figure at Madame Tussauds. It’s been a pleasure to work with the artists to make this dream come true and I can’t wait to see my twin in New York!” says Porter.
