Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and media producer and philanthropist Leonard Majzlin will be the honorees of this year's Dramatists Guild Foundation gala. Amber Ruffin will host the annual event October 23.

Nottage is the first woman to win two Pulitzer Prizes for drama. The prolific playwright has penned Intimate Apparel the Opera, Clyde’s, The Secret Life of Bees, Sweat, Ruined, and more. Majzlin is the Media Advisor to the Dramatists Guild Foundation's Legacy Project, a series of video documentaries featuring prominent American playwrights, lyricists and composers interviewed by younger playwrights, discussing the craft of writing for the theatre. Much of his career has also included developing exhibits for museums: his work has been at BAM, The Museum at Eldridge Street, The Jewish Museum, The Arizona Historical Society, and The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, and more.

The gala, aiming to support playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists through financial resources and education-driven programming, will be held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom October 23. The cocktail reception begins at 6 PM, and dinner and performances begins at 7 PM. The Dramatists Guild Foundation Gala is presented by Creative Partners Productions, with additional support from Broadway Licensing.
