Knight opens in the London return of the hit musical March 21 at London's Dominion.

The West End return of the Olivier-nominated Sister Act The Musical, which began previews March 15 at London's Dominion Theatre, officially opens March 21.

The company is led by Olivier winner Beverley Knight, reprising her work as Deloris Van Cartier after playing the part in London in summer 2022. Listen to Knight perform "Fabulous, Baby!" from the musical's score on the just released single above.

About the new recording, which was produced by musical supervisor Stephen Brooker and recorded and mixed at Dean Street Studios, Knight states, “I’m thrilled to be sharing my rendition of ‘Fabulous, Baby!’ beyond the walls of the West End. The music of Alan Menken is a true gift, we have such fun performing this number in the show. I’m pleased we got to take it into the studio and share this with you all.” The single is also available on all streaming platforms by clicking here.

Knight is joined in the London run by Gavin & Stacey star Ruth Jones, making her West End debut as Mother Superior; Lesley Joseph returning to the role of Sister Mary Lazarus; Brit Award-winning singer Lemar as Curtis Jackson; Olivier winner Clive Rowe returning to his Olivier-nominated role as Eddie Souther; West End favorite Lizzie Bea returning as Sister Mary Robert; Olivier nominee Alison Jiear as Sister Mary Patrick; and Regent Park’s La Cage aux Folles star Carl Mullaney as Monsignor O’Hara.

The cast also includes Caroline Bateson, Natalia Brown, Damian Buhagiar, Tricia Deighton, Lori Haley Fox, Lauren Hall, Chloe Hopcroft, Tom Hopcroft, Bradley Judge, Claudia Kariuki, Graham MacDuff, Castell Parker, Emma Ralston, Anne Smith, Michael Ward, and Jermaine Woods. Lesley Joseph plays the role of Mother Superior at certain performances.

This company will continue through June 8 with Knight to be succeeded by Alexandra Burke, who played Deloris in the 2016 tour of the Alan Menken musical. She is scheduled to star in the return engagement June 10-August 31 with Joseph and Bea continuing in their roles.

Bill Buckhurst directs with choreography by Alistair David, set and costume design by Morgan Large, musical direction by Neil MacDonald, lighting design by Tim Mitchell, sound design by Tom Marshall, and musical supervision by Stephen Brooker. Casting is by Stuart Burt.

Based on the film of the same name, Sister Act features music by Tony and Oscar winner Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, a book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane.

The musical played Broadway's Broadway Theatre March 24, 2011-August 26, 2012, officially opening April 20, 2011. The New York production earned five Tony nominations, including Best Musical.

The musical tells the story of a disco diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Under protective custody, she is hidden in the one place she won’t be found: a convent.

Sister Act is produced by Jamie Wilson, Kevin McCollum, Gavin Kalin, Front Row Productions, Evolution Productions, Tulchin Bartner Productions, Robbie Wilson, and Curve.
