Lindsay Mendez, who starred in the Off-Broadway play Significant Other (which is scheduled to transfer to Broadway in March 2017), and songwriter Ryan Scott Oliver join musical forces for Muse and the Music August 29 at SubCulture.
The 8 PM concert promises “some of their popular collaborations together, some never-before-heard songs, plus mash-ups, stories, and maybe even a little gossip.”
Rodney Bush music directs the evening, which features a six-piece band.
Mendez has been seen on Broadway in Wicked, Godspell, Everday Rapture and Grease. She also performed Off-Broadway in Oliver’s 35mm song cycle, inspired by the pictures of Oliver’s husband, photographer Matthew Murphy.
SubCulture is located at 45 Bleecker Street. Tickets may be purchased at SubCultureNewYork.com. Tickets are $25, and there is no food and drink minimum.
