The Drama League has revealed complete casting for DirectorFest 2026, a festival focusing on the art of contemporary stage directing by a new generation of talent.

Taking place in the first week of February, DirectorFest will feature two staged readings of full-length plays directed by the group's 2024-2026 Stage Directing Fellows, Zoë Adams and Irvin Mason, Jr.

Abby Rosebrock’s Singles in Agriculture (February 2), led by Adams, will feature Lily Rabe (The Merchant of Venice, Seminar) and Hamish Linklater (The New Adventures of Old Christine). Set at an annual dating convention for farmers, the piece centers on Priscilla, a South Carolina army widow who loves Modern Family and talks to her goats; and Joel, a taciturn fundamentalist from Oklahoma.

Harrison David Rivers’ Except That It Is God (February 6), led by Mason Jr., will feature Mister Fitzgerald (Ohio State Murders), Mallori Johnson (Steal Away), Marquis Rodriguez (Modern Love), Sean Boyce Johnson (Black Odyssey), and Kristolyn Lloyd (Dear Evan Hansen). Set in a city in the American South, the piece centers on three friends: Deshaun, who sells drugs; Frankie, who cleans hotel rooms; and Noble, who makes sandwiches.

The readings are open exclusively to invited guests.
