Casting has changed for the staged reading at Joe's Pub of Paul Iacono and Marc Kudisch’s unauthorized Batman Parody Musical, Gotham Rogues.

Leenya Rideout will replace the previously announced Alison Fraser in the role of Poison Ivy.

Staged October 27 at 9:30 PM, the piece will be directed by Rachel Klein (High Priest, The Gospel According to Heather, Grindr: The Opera). Gotham Rogues has book by Iacono and Kudisch, and lyrics by Paul Iacono, with additional material by Barrett Leddy. Music direction and arrangements are by Peter Saxe.

With music by Shirley Walker, Danny Elfman, Lolita Ritmanis, Harvey R. Cohen, and Michael McCuistion, the show is loosely adapted from the Batman: The Animated Series episode “The Trial,” written by Paul Dini. Poster art is by Scott Lilly.

While act one follows Batman's most notorious enemies as they exchange stories of who has come the closest to killing their mutual nemesis (while hiding from Batman and the police), act two centers on the trial of Batman as dramatic testimonies are offered by Gotham's villains, each revealing their complex relationship with the Dark Knight.

In addition to Rideout, the Joe's Pub production will feature Kudisch as The Joker, Terence Archie as Two-Face, Iacono as The Riddler, Lauren Molina as Harley Quinn, Brenda Braxton as Catwoman, Barrett Leddy as The Mad Hatter, Eddie Korbich as Mr. Freeze, Burke Moses as Batman, Clyde Voce as Nightwing, and Loren Lester, the voice of Robin/Nightwing on Batman: The Animated Series, as Penguin.

Tickets are at PublicTheater.org.
