Lauren Molina, a featured performer in Broadway’s Rock of Ages and Sweeney Todd, and half of the cabaret duo The Skivvies, will take part in the August 9 performance of the audience-participation murder-mystery show Villain: DeBlanks, which runs each Wednesday at The Green Room 42 nightspot in Manhattan.
Described by creator Billy Mitchell as “Clue meets adult Mad Libs,” Villain: DeBlanks asks the audience to provides nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc., to tell the story of Philip DeBlanks’ untimely demise. The performers act out the resulting script.
The series has a rotating cast that changes weekly.
Guests for the August 9 show: Molina, Eddie Cooper (Encores! Assassins), Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Sweet Charity, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), Stephen Wallem (Nurse Jackie), Eddie Capuano (Big Gay Italian Wedding), and Shaun Bennet Fauntleroy (Richard III).
Guests for the August 16 show: Molly Ranson (Fish in the Dark), Bernard Dotson (Finian’s Rainbow), Jen Malenke (Into the Woods), BJ Gruber (50 Shades!), (The Dudley's), and Rob Morrison (Nickelodeon’s Sunny Day).

Tony-nominated dancer-singer-choreographer Brenda Braxton, who hosts and co-stars in most of the Villain DeBlanks shows, told Playbill that a portion of the proceeds will go to Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund. Besides which, she said, “The show is great fun for a good cause!”
