The upcoming New York premiere of Jennifer Blackmer's Predictor has found its lead in Tony nominee Caitlin Kinnunen (The Prom), who will star as inventor Meg Crane. Performances are slated to run December 6, 2025-January 18, 2026 at AMT Theater Off-Broadway. Opening night will be December 14.
The work follows the real-life figure, most known for inventing the home pregnancy test from a box of paperclips in 1968. The newly revealed cast will also feature Jes Washington (White Woman, Black Boy), Lauren Molina (Sweeney Todd), April Ortiz (In the Heights), John Leonard Thompson (Boardwalk Empire), Eric Tabach (Seagull: True Story), Nick Piacente (Goldie, Max and Milk), Adrienne Wells (the ripple, the wave that carried me home), and Jose Maria Aguila (A Legendary Romance).
Alex Keegan (Dilaria) is directing, leading a creative team that includes scenic designer Cat Raynor; costume designer Alicia Austin; lighting designer Zach Blane; and sound designers Daniela Hart, Noel Nichols, and Bailey Trierweiler of Uptown Works NYC, with Hethyr Verhoef serving as production stage manager. Sarah Shapiro is assistant director.
