The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) will feature several Broadway stars as part of the Gala Finals of its National Musical Theatre Competition. Tony-winning actors Kelli O'Hara and Kristin Chenoweth will serve as honorary hosts, with Tony-winning composer and lyricist Adam Guettel as a competition judge, and SirusXM host and Playbill columnist Seth Rudetsky as the evening's emcee. 

The event will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 at 7 PM in Manhattan School of Music's Neidorff-Karpati Hall, and showcase a group of young professional singing actors. The evening will also honor late voice teacher and NATS member Florence Birdwell, who taught both O'Hara and Chenoweth, with a celebratory tribute.

The featured group of performers are aspiring Broadway actors between 20 and 28 years old, and were each selected from nationwide preliminary rounds. Each finalist will have the opportunity to perform a solo during the gala, and NATS will award more than $15,000 in cash and prizes to finalists. Past winners/competitors who have been seen on Broadway include Linedy Genao (Bad Cinderella) and Michael Maliakel (Aladdin).
