Johnny G. Lloyd will join Meghan Finn to co-lead The Tank Off-Broadway effective immediately.

Both Lloyd and Finn will serve as co-artistic directors of the company. Lloyd has served as The Tank’s director of artistic development for the past 5 years, working closely with Finn and Managing Producer Molly FitzMaurice, who continues in that position, as a part of The Tank’s three-person shared leadership structure.

“Johnny G. Lloyd is a talented playwright and producer and has been a vital part of The Tank staff and community for many years, even before his joining us in 2020,” said Finn. “His commitment to The Tank has already been deeply felt in the body of work we’ve presented and co-produced and I’m thrilled to top that off with this official appointment.”

“It has been such an honor to serve The Tank’s central mission of removing economic barriers for the last five years, and I’m excited to continue doing so with Meghan, Molly, and the rest of the team,” said Lloyd. “I look forward to building new strategies to make the creation of art as accessible as possible, as well as uplifting exciting artists and challenging aesthetics in our programming.”

Founded in 2003, The Tank is an Obie Award-winning multi-disciplinary non-profit arts presenter and producer, which provides a home to emerging artists working across all disciplines, including theatre, comedy, dance, film, music, puppetry, and storytelling. From the company’s home with two theatres on 36th Street, The Tank serves over 3,000 artists every year, presents 800 to 1,000 performances, and welcomes an average of 36,000 audience members annually. The company fully produces a curated season of 8-12 theatrical World or New York premieres each season.
