Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey will sign copies of his latest photography book, The Flower Whisperer June 25 at Rizzoli Book Store in New York City. Grey will be joined by Duane Michals for the 6 PM talkback and signing.
Released earlier this summer by powerHouse Books, The Flower Whisperer is described by Grey as his “personal testament to the mysterious sexual universe of flowers.” The 120-page hardcover printing was shot entirely on Grey’s iPhone.
A companion photo exhibition runs through August 16 at SoHo’s Staley-Wise Gallery, featuring photographs from the book and additional photos.
Grey's previous books of photographs are Pictures I Had to Take (2003), Looking Hard at Unexamined Things (2006), 1.3: Images From My Phone (2009), and The Billboard Papers (2013). His memoir, Master of Ceremonies, was released in 2016.
