Jeb Brown, most recently seen on Broadway in a Tony-nominated turn in Dead Outlaw, will star in the title role of Beau when the Douglas Lyons-Ethan D. Pakchar musical makes an Off-Broadway return next month as previously announced. The show will begin its encore at St. Luke's Theatre October 13, ahead of an October 27 opening night.
Brown did not star in Beau's earlier run at Out of the Box Theatrics' 154 Christopher Street, but the upcoming stage turn will see him returning to the musical after appearing in its world premiere cast album and a 2022 film version of the work.
Conceived and written by Lyons (Chicken and Biscuits), with music by Pakchar (Back to the Future: The Musical) and Lyons, Beau the Musical features eight actor-musicians telling the story of Ace Baker, a young queer man whose life is forever changed when he discovers his deceased grandfather is actually still alive.
Bryan McCaffrey and Leah Michalos are producing the encore run in association with The StoryLine Project and Out of the Box Theatrics.
