Broadway News Jarrod Spector Is Broadway's New King George III Beginning September 12 in Hamilton

The Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda musical continues at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

Tony nominee Jarrod Spector joins the Broadway cast of the Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Hamilton September 12 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

Spector, who played a record-breaking 1,500 performances as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys on Broadway, steps into the role of King George III.

Spector, who made his Broadway debut at nine as Gavroche in the original production of Les Miserables, was nominated for a Tony for his performance as Barry Mann in Beautiful - The Carole King Musical. He also played Sonny Bono in Broadway's The Cher Show.

Winner of 11 2016 Tony Awards, Hamilton blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway to tell the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton.

Miguel Cervantes currently stars in the title role with Jared Dixon as Aaron Burr, Stephanie Jae Park as Eliza Hamilton, Stephanie Umho as Angelica Schuyler, Yana Perrault as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, Tamar Greene as George Washington, Rubén Carbajal as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton, Bryson Bruce as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Ebrin R. Stanley as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Alexander Ferguson as Philip Schuyler/James Reynolds/Doctor, John Michael Fiumara as Charles Lee, Thayne Jasperson as Samuel Seabury, and Preston Mui as George Eacker.

With a book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the international hit musical has direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.

Hamilton also features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe, casting by The Telsey Office's Bethany Knox, and general management by Baseline Theatrical.

The musical is produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman, and The Public Theater.
