Theatrical licensor and distributor Broadway Licensing Global, which announced its expansion to the United Kingdom in October 2023, has appointed two new hires to spearhead the company's recently opened London office.

James Cawood, previously managing director of the Plays Division at Musical Theatre International Europe/Josef Weinberger Ltd., has been named Director of Licensing UK and Europe. Shay Virk, who has spent more than a decade working with international brands, has been appointed Manager of Marketing.

Founded in 2017, BLG is the fastest-growing catalogue for live stage plays and musicals globally and is the home for amateur licensing rights to Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.
