Perelman Performing Arts Center has added Trash, a new play from Deaf playwrights James Caverly (Only Murders in the Building) and Andrew Morrill (Dark Disabled Stories), to its 2026 season, with performances to run March 7-28, 2026. Opening night will be March 13.

The new comedy, a production of Out of the Box Theatrics, follows Tim and Jake, two Deaf roommates sharing an NYC apartment. When it comes time to take out the trash, their diverging viewpoints on the experience of living in a hearing world are borne out. Nathaniel P. Claridad will direct.

The venue's newly announced presentations also include a triptych of ballets from Benjamin Millepied, titled Gems. The performances, set for February 21 and 22, come from L.A. Dance project, and will be co-presented with Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels. Included will be Millepied's Reflections, Hearts & Arrows, and On the Other Side.

The venue is also bringing back Cebo (Terry B.J. Carr) and Nubian Nene's Motion/Matter: All-Styles Dance Battle March 21, 2026; and will hold a second Family Day event May 30. The 2025 programming will include Icons of Culture, celebrating Diane von Furstenberg, Es Devlin, Danai Gurira, and Christy Turlington Burns, October 29-November 1; and Jack Thorne's adaptation of A Christmas Carol, which has previously run at London's Old Vic and on Broadway, performing November 23-December 28.

The world premiere of Jennifer Nettles' musical, GIULIA: The Poison Queen of Palermo, previously announced to perform later this year, will now bow in 2026, with dates to be announced. Nettles will also star in the work.

Tickets are available to PAC NYC members and Citi cardmembers today at PACNYC.org. General sales begin September 9.
