Off-Broadway News Jacob Perkins' The Dinosaurs Finds Full Casting at Playwrights Horizons

The slice-of-life play follows a recovery group of women meeting once a week over the years to share their stories and struggles.

Full casting has been revealed for the Off-Broadway production of Jacob Perkins' The Dinosaurswhich will make its world premiere at Playwrights Horizons beginning February 4, 2026. The play is set to run through March 1.

Les Waters will direct the slice-of-life play following a group of women in recovery meeting once a week to share their stories and struggles. As weeks turn into months, months turn into years, and years become decades, they continue to meet at the same place and time.

The cast will include Kathleen Chalfant as Jolly/June, Elizabeth Marvel as Joan, April Matthis as Jane, Keilly McQuail as Rayna/Buddy, Mallory Portnoy as Janet, ​and Maria Elena Ramirez as Joane. 

The  production will feature scenic design by dots, costume design by Oana Botez, lighting design by Yuki Link, and sound design by Palmer Hefferan.
