Chazz Palminteri was honored by the Bronx Children's Museum at the second annual gala May 8 at the Edison Ballroom. The event also honored Sonia Manzano, Kerry Malawista, and Alan Heilbron.
The museum “seeks to inspire children from infancy to nine years of age and their families/caregivers to learn about themselves within the diversity and richness of their surroundings and the world beyond and to become caregivers of the planet.”
Palminteri will return to Broadway in A Bronx Tale, the musical based on his solo show that also inspired the 1993 film of the same name. The Oscar nominee will take on the role of Sonny on weekday performances beginning May 24, becoming the first actor to play the same part in a play, film, and stage musical.
