Broadway's How to Dance in Ohio has partnered with Mentra, a neurodiversity employment network, to host a Resume Writing Workshop in New York City later this month.
Scheduled for January 31 at the Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room, the workshop will support neurodivergent individuals interests in careers in software, data, and UX design. Mentra's neuroinclusion talent specialist will lead the session, helping participants craft resumes that effectively highlight their distinctive talents while navigating the complexities of the job market as a neurodivergent person.
As neurodiverse accessibility and acceptence continues to grow, an increasing number of neurosiverse individuals are pursuing employment, including within the major players in tech and finance sphere. As these companies expand their neuroinclusion efforts, Mentra is here to support neurodiverse folks as they look to join the fast paced job market where their unique skills are increasingly sought after.
How to Dance in Ohio opened at the Belasco Theatre December 10. The show is a major milestone for neurodivergent representation on Broadway, with seven openly autistic actors playing the show's seven autistic characters, as echoed in the show's mantra: "nothing about us without us." The production will run through February 11.
