The Elton John-Shaina Taub musical is releasing a West End cast album later this month.

Get a first listen to Vanessa Williams singing the title song from the West End musical The Devil Wears Prada ahead of the September 19 cast album release above. An EMI release, the album will feature 18 songs from Elton John, Shaina Taub, and Mark Sonnenblick's score, and two demos from John as bonus tracks.

The cast recording is produced and mixed by Giles Martin. John's demos are produced by Matt Still and Kim Bullard.

The musical, which officially opened December 5, 2024, is currently scheduled to continue through January 3, 2026. See what critics had to say about the movie-turned-musical, directed and choreographed by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell, here. The work, which premiered in Chicago in 2022 with a different creative team and cast, features music by John, lyrics by two-time Tony winner Taub (Suffs) and Sonnenblick, and a book by Kate Wetherhead. This West End run was preceded by a try-out at Theatre Royal Plymouth last year.

Williams leads the cast as the ruthless Miranda Priestly, sharing the stage with Georgie Buckland as Andy, Amy Di Bartolomeo (SIX: The Musical) as Emily, James Darch as Christian, Rhys Whitfield as Nate, and Olivier winner Matt Henry as Nigel.

The company also includes Maddy Ambus, Gabby Antrobus, Selena Barron, Pamela Blair, Robertina Bonano, Josh Damer-Jennings, Lloyd Davies, Elishia Edwards, Akeem Ellis-Hyman, Jinny Gould, Natasha Heyward, Samuel How, Luke Jackson, Emma Johnson, Debbie Kurup, Nathan Lorainey-Dineen, Liam Marcellino, Ciro Lourencio Meulens, Theo Papoui, Christopher Parkinson, Eleanor Peach, Ethan Le Phong, Jon Reynolds, Harriet Samuel-Gray, Olivia Saunders, Brandon Lee Sears, Joshua Steel, Kayleigh Thadani, Ella Valentine, and Tara Yasmin.

Based on the novel by Lauren Weisberger and its 2006 film adaptation, The Devil Wears Prada follows aspiring fashion journalist Andy Sachs. When she is hired as assistant to Miranda Priestly, editor-in-chief of the fictional Runway Magazine, she discovers that breaking into the industry requires more than she expected.

Mitchell's creative team includes scenic designer Tim Hatley, costume designer Gregg Barnes, lighting designer Bruno Poet, sound designer Gareth Owen, and hair, wig, and makeup designer Campbell Young Associates. Casting is by Jill Green. Orchestrations and arrangements are by music supervisor Tom Deering, and Katharine Woolley is music director. Giles Martin serves as music executive.

Kevin McCollum and Rocket Entertainment's David Furnish produce after working on the Chicago world premiere. Joining for the U.K. bow is Jamie Wilson. They present by special arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical.
