News Hairspray's Marissa Jaret Winokur to Join Love, Loss, and What I Wore in L.A. Tony Award-winning actress Marissa Jaret Winokur, Meredith Baxter and Gina Torres will step into the Los Angeles run of Love, Loss, and What I Wore beginning Aug. 4 at the Geffen Playhouse.

Winokur (Hairspray), Baxter ("Family Ties") and Torres ("Angel") will officially open in Love, Loss Aug. 5 and continue with the production through Aug. 29. Additional casting will be announced shortly. The current Los Angeles cast features Kathryne Dora Brown, Tyne Daly, Bonnie Franklin, Glenne Headly and Amy Pietz, who appear through Aug. 1.

Jenny Sullivan directs the West Coast component of the play that currently plays the Westside Theatre Off-Broadway. Love, Loss, and What I Wore began performances May 13 at the Geffen and currently runs in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater.

Nora and Delia Ephron penned the play based on Ilene Beckerman's book of the same name that "uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to."
