Check out the video above, with appearances from the song's onscreen performers Ariana DeBose as Anita, David Alvarez as Bernardo, Ana Isabelle as Rosalia, and Ilda Mason as Luzalong with Rita Moreno, the 1961 film adaptation's Anita and this version's Valentina, providing a few claps in the number.

Dudamel has been the music director and artistic director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic for over a decade. He recently began his six-year tenure as music director of Paris Opera.

West Side Story features a screenplay by Tony Kushner (based on the original book by Arthur Laurents) and choreography by Justin Peck. The film recently took home a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, along with the film’s stars Rachel Zegler and Ariana DeBose for Best Performance By an Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.
