Get an inside glimpse at the star-studded opening night of Hansol Jung's queer restoration comedy Merry Mewhich officially opened at New York Theatre Workshop October 31. The work began previews October 11 and will play the Off-Broadway venue through November 19. Leigh Silverman is at the helm.

Merry Me centers on a restless Navy during a mysterious blackout. Lieutenant Shane Horne has occupied her time satisfying the needs of all the women on the base—including the jealous general’s wife. Meanwhile, the Navy's psychiatrist embarks on an epic quest to save humanity.

The cast includes Marinda Anderson (You Will Get Sick), Cindy Cheung, Esco Jouléy (Wolf Play), David Ryan Smith (Candida), Ryan Spahn (Good Enemy), Nicole Villamil (Wolf Play) and Shaunette Renée Wilson.

Merry Me features scenic design by Rachel Hauck (What the Constitution Means to Me), costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by Barbara Samuels (Wolf Play) and sound design by Caroline Eng (Belfast Girls) and Kate Marvin (Wolf Play). Claire Yenson serves as casting director, and Shelley Miles serves as stage manager.
