Readings and Workshops Glory Ride Musical, About Tour de France Champion Gino Bartali, Holding NYC Industry Readings

The musical, from Victoria and Todd Buchholz, focuses on Bartali's work saving lives in World War II.

Delaware Theatre Company will hold industry readings of a new musical titled Glory Ride in NYC November 18-21.

The musical—featuring music and lyrics by Victoria Buccholz, and a book by Victoria and Todd Buchholz—tells the true story of Tour de France champion Gino Bartali, whose secret life saw him saving innocent lives from Mussolini's Fascist regime during World War II. The work make a world premiere at London's Charing Cross Theatre, and will make its U.S. debut at Delaware Theatre Company February 18–March 8, 2026. The company hopes that Broadway is in the future for the project.

Performing in the readings will be Ryan Silverman (Side Show), Matt Amira (Gatsby), Kingsley Leggs (Sister Act), Erin Ramirez (Six), Neal Mayer (The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon), Sean Luc Rogers (Clarkston), Rodney Ingram (Aladdin), Sean Seamus Thompson (Sunset Boulevard), Max Ehrlich, Anthony Festa, Isabella Kaplan, Michael Kelleher, Kayla Jenerson, and Jimmy Schumacher. Casting is by Jen Rudin.

Federico Bellone (Dirty Dancing) is directing the performances, which will feature choreography by Denis Jones (Tootsie) and music supervision by Greg Jarrett. Delaware Theatre Company's staging will feature scenic design by Bewulf Boritt. ShowTown Theatricals is general managing.
