Get a first look at WP Theater's The Waterfall with brand new production photos. Obie Award winner Taylor Reynolds (Primary Trust) is directing Phanésia Pharel's play, running through March 1. Performances began January 31, and an official opening night is set for February 15. See the photos in the gallery below.
The play follows Haitian-American Bean, who is struggling with her mother's idea of what her life should be as she returns home to support her mother following a hospitalization. Natalie Paul (Crown Heights, The Sinner) stars as Bean alongside Patrice Johnson Chevannes (Pose, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Emi.
The production is produced and presented in partnership with Thrown Stone Theatre Company and is underwritten by Dee Dee Colabella. The production features set design by Teresa L. Williams (John Proctor is The Villain), costume design by Dina El-Aziz (English), lighting design is by Venus Gulbranson (New York, New York), co-sound design by Kaileykielle Hoga and DJ Potts, hair design by Earon Chew Nealey, dramaturgy by Amrita Ramanan, dialect coaching by Wynnie Lamour-Quansah, properties design by Emmarose Campbell, production stage management by Kassi Wilson, and assistant stage management by Nina Schatell. Casting is by Kelly Gillespie.
