Tony-winning actor Gavin Creel just announced his upcoming solo concert, Gavin Creel: The Broadway Stuff - Vol. 1 at New York City’s SubCulture October 8.

Creel will sing his own interpretations of Broadway classics as he shares stories from his prolific Broadway career during this intimate evening of music.

The actor burst onto the scene with his Broadway debut in Thoroughly Modern Millie, earning a Tony nomination for his performance as Jimmy Smith opposite Sutton Foster. He quickly followed that up with the 2004 revival of La Cage aux Folles and another Tony-nominated performance as Claude in the 2009 revival of Hair. After touring as Elder Price in the national tour of The Book of Mormon in 2012, Creel led the musical in London (and earned a 2014 Olivier Award for it) and then joined the Broadway company in 2015. He also played Bert in the West End’s Mary Poppins.

He originated the role of Steven Kodaly in the 2016 revival of She Loves Me at Roundabout Theatre Company, and most recently starred in the Bette Midler-led revival of Hello, Dolly!, winning his first Tony.

Creel first played SubCulture as a guest vocalist during one of Jason Robert Brown’s residency concerts and now returns to the venue for his solo evening, accompanied by Mary-Mitchell Campbell.

Gavin Creel: The Broadway Stuff - Vol. 1 plays two performances at 7PM and 9:30PM. SubCultureNewYork.com.
