Full casting has been announced for the Bristol Old Vic production of Arabian Nights, which will begin performances at the U.K. venue November 23 for a run scheduled through January 6, 2024. The modern reimagining by Sonali Bhattacharyya will be directed by Blanche McIntyre.
The cast will include Yasemin Özdemir, Sara Diab, Saikat Ahamed, Nicholas Karimi, Patrick Osborne, Ajjaz Awad, Arinder Sadhra, and Roxy Faridany.
The production will feature design by Hannah Sibai, lighting design by Nao Nagai, movement direction by Aline David, sound design and composing by Oğuz Kaplangi, puppetry design by Samuel Wilde, costume supervision by Anna Dixon, and puppetry supervision by Hannah Southfield. Casting is by Christopher Worrall CDG. Melinda Namdar serves as associate director.
