The co-author of Hamilton: The Revolution, the recently-released book that contains the libretto from the Broadway musical Hamilton and much supporting material, appears on a special upcoming all-Hamilton edition of the New York area TV news magazine show MetroFocus premiering Thursday, May 19 at 5 PM ET on WLIW21, at 5:30 PM on NJTV and 6 PM. on local channel 13, WNET.

In the clip, Hamilton: The Revolution co-author Jeremy McCarter talks about the history of the play, telling the story of Lin-Manuel Miranda writing it on vacation. He also talks about why the play shouldn’t have worked.
