Noah Wyle, one of the stars of NBC's "E.R.," has been named Artistic Producer of The Blank Theatre Company in Los Angeles. He will share his duties with the theatre's other Artistic Producer, Christopher Collet -- a stage and television actor who co-starred on Broadway with Kate Nelligan in Michael Weller's Spoils of War.
"I got my start in the Los Angeles theatre community and I'm thrilled to be involved with the creative direction of The Blank Theatre Company," said Wyle in a recent interview.
"His television success aside, Noah's energy and creativity will be a wonderful addition to the kind of work we have been doing here at the Blank," said Daniel Henning, the theatre's artistic director, of the appointment.
The Blank Theatre, a young yet highly respected company, won this year's L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Production for Breaking the Code.
The theatre is presently in residence at the 2nd Stage on Hollywood's Theatre Row. -- By Rebecca Paller
