Dylan Mulvaney's hit 2024 Edinburgh Fringe solo show Faghag, now rechristened The Least Problematic Woman in the World, makes its Off-Broadway premiere at the Lucille Lortel Theatre beginning September 27, and will officially open October 7. Performances continue through October 19.
Mulvaney has written and stars in the autobiographical work, tracking her tumultuous life from being a Catholic school kid to becoming a trans TikTok icon. The work was well-reviewed by Playbill at last year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Tim Jackson (Two Strangers [Carry a Cake Across New York]) directs after helming the Edinburgh world premiere. Seaview, Wessex Grove, and Wagner Johnson Productions are producing.
The creative team includes scenic designer Tom Rogers, costume designer Enver Chakartash, lighting designer Cha See, sound designer Justin Stasiw, video designer Caite Hevner, hair and wig designer Carole Hancock, and prop designer Andrew Diaz. Orchestrations and arrangements are by Dan Rudin and Will Stuart, with Rudin also serving as executive music producer. E Sara Barnes is production stage manager.
“It was a true joy to develop this play with Dylan in London, so I’m thrilled we get to reimagine the show for a New York audience, who I know will be dazzled by her glorious wit, talent, and electric personality,” said Jackson in an earlier statement. “We’re so happy to have found our home at the magical Lortel Theatre, where audiences can revel in the intimacy of the space, and enjoy an up-close connection to this story of joy, courage, and heart. Now more than ever we need incredible women like Dylan on our stages, telling their stories, broadening horizons and, in this case, giving us the gift of laughter.”
