Showbiz 411 reports that Downton Abbey will be adapted into a feature-length film with the same cast. According to the news site, creator Julian Fellowes and executive producer Gareth Neame are currently in negotiations regarding the adaptation.
The grand finale of the acclaimed series will air March 6 on PBS, concluding the six-season run. The show, which launched in 2010, has won three Golden Globe Awards; it chronicles the lives of the British aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the early 20th century.
Fellowes' writing credits also include Gosford Park, The Young Victoria and the Broadway musical School of Rock – The Musical.
