The Atlantic Theater Company will celebrate female trailblazers at its spring gala, Divas’ Choice, which is set to take place March 4 at The Plaza.
The Atlantic has invited four influential female artists to take part in the evening by selecting a song they love and their favorite musician to perform it. Their selections will be revealed during the gala performance.
The special guests include Tony- and Obie Award-winning designer Christine Jones (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Queen of the Night, Spring Awakening), MacArthur Foundation "Genius" Grant recipient Dominique Morisseau (Skeleton Crew, Ain’t Too Proud), award-winning graphic designer and brand strategist Paula Scher, and Emmy Award winner Sarah Silverman (We Are Miracles; I Love You, America).
The evening's honorees are three female arts philanthropy leaders, who have helped shape the Atlantic Theater Company and nurture its mission: Vicki Reiss (Executive Director, The Shubert Foundation), Emily Tow Jackson (Executive Director & President, The Tow Foundation), and Carol Auerbach (Atlantic Board Member, Auerbach Family Foundation).
“Many stories in our current season center around a female perspective,” said Atlantic Artistic Director Neil Pepe. “It’s a year of celebrating women for their exceptional contributions on the stage and behind the scenes. We are thrilled to be continuing this theme at our annual Gala. In addition to featuring extraordinary women artists, we are recognizing three special friends of Atlantic who support our work – Carol, Emily and Vicki. These three women are leaders in philanthropy both in New York City and nationally. Their amazing commitment to sustaining theater is remarkable and we are honored to recognize them for their work.”
Gala ticket prices begin at $1,000 and may be purchased by contacting (646) 216-1086 or [email protected].
