International News Dallas Star Patrick Duffy Will Lead U.K. Tour of Twelve Angry Men

Christopher Haydon will direct the Reginald Rose courtroom drama.

Patrick Duffy, best known for playing Bobby Ewing on the long-running nighttime soap Dallas, will star in the forthcoming U.K. tour of Reginald Rose's Twelve Angry Men.

Christopher Haydon will direct the return of the courtroom drama, which launches October 18-28 at the Theatre Royal Windsor. The tour will subsequently play the Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham (October 30-November 4), Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham (November 6-11), Wycombe Swan, High Wycombe (November 13-18), Theatre Royal Brighton (November 20-25), and Theatre Royal Bath (November 27-December 2).

Joining Duffy on stage will be Tristan Gemmill (Coronation Street, Casualty), Michael Greco (EastEnders), Ben Nealon (Soldier Soldier), Gary Webster (Minder, Family Affairs), and Gray O’Brien (Coronation Street, Peak Practice) with further casting to be announced.

Perhaps best remembered as the Oscar-winning 1957 film starring Henry Fonda as a juror who fights for justice, Twelve Angry Men played two West End seasons at London’s Garrick Theatre starring Martin Shaw, followed by Tom Conti.

The play, also seen on Broadway in 2004, follows a jury who must decide the fate of a young man accused of killing his father.

The upcoming tour will also feature associate direction by Tim Welton, design by Michael Pavelka, lighting design by Chris Davey, and sound design by Andy Graham.
