The catchy pop tune, with an insistent beat, will be available for free download beginning June 22 at 10:30 AM on the show's official website, KinkyBootstheMusical.com. Lauper is also scheduled to offer a live performance of the song during the June 24 Gay Pride Parade in New York City. Lauper is this year's grand marshal.

You can listen to the song currently at EW.com.

Based on the 2005 British film of the same title, the musical has a score by Lauper, with a book by Tony winner Harvey Fierstein (Torch Song Trilogy, La Cage aux Folles) and direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (2004's La Cage aux Folles, Legally Blonde, Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can).

Kinky Boots will strut its stuff Oct. 4-Nov. 2 at the Bank of America Theatre in Chicago, prior to a 2013 Broadway arrival.

Here's how the creators characterize the musical: "In Kinky Boots, Charlie Price is forced to step in and save his family's shoe factory in Northern England, following the sudden death of his father. Help comes from the unlikeliest angel, a fabulous drag performer named Lola. Together, this improbable duo revitalizes the failing business, while helping one another grow into the men their fathers always dreamed they would become and transforming an entire community through the power of acceptance."

Musical supervision and arrangements are by 2011 Tony Award winner Stephen Oremus (Wicked, 9 to 5, The Book of Mormon). Kinky Boots is produced by Tony winners Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig.
