Cristin Milioti, who earned a Tony nomination as co-star of the 2012 Broadway musical Once, returns to Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater in New York’s Greenwich Village for an August 17–19 concert series.
A club spokesperson told Playbill, “Cristin said the show this time will be mostly acoustic—just guitar and piano—reworking and re-arrangements of pop songs. Normally she has a full band—guitar, drums, etc. They will do covers of Lorde, Bon Over, Emmylou Harris, First Aid Kit, Fiona Apple, plus a bunch of originals. They may do some Rihanna and Sia, maybe Sara Bareilles. It will essentially be a pared-down, much more intimate version of her previous live show. She will play the piano for much of the show.”
Once was her third and most recent Broadway appearance, and she shared in the show’s Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. She had a supporting role in Broadway’s Coram Boy (2007), understudied in The Lieutenant of Inishmore (2006), and was featured in David Bowie’s 2015 Off-Broadway musical, Lazarus.
She has enjoyed a busy film and TV career, appearing in The Sopranos, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Good Wife, 30 Rock, A to Z, Fargo, The Mindy Project, and most notably as Tracy McConnell, the long-awaited title character in How I Met Your Mother.
Tickets for her 7 PM Joe’s Pub concerts can be ordered by clicking here, or by calling (212) 967-7555. The Public Theater is located at 425 Lafayette Street in Manhattan.
