The musical adaptation of Mrs. Doubtfire is embarking on a second North American tour beginning September 5 at the Clemens Center in Elmira, New York.

Starring Craig Allen Smith in the title role of Daniel Hillard/Euphegenia Doubtfire, the non-Equity tour will also feature Melissa Campbell as Miranda Hillard, Alanis Sophia as Lydia Hillard, Brian Kalinowski as Frank Hillard, DeVon Wycovia Buchanan as Andre Mayem, Collin Salvatorè as Stuart Dunmire, Kennedy V. Jackson as Wanda Sellner, Vivian Atencio and Ava Rose Doty as Natalie Hillard, and Chance Challen and Theodore Lowenstein as Christopher Hillard.

The company will be completed by Scott Taylor-Cole, Naja Bates, Kirstin Angelina Henry, Chaz Ingraham, Se’Lah Jackson, Kasey Lazan, Giulia Marolda, Chelsea Lynne Myers, Jayden Cyrus Nelson, Izzy Ramirez, Grayson Todd, Rico Velazquez, Patrick Joseph Wallace, and Kade Wright.

Based on the 1993 film, Mrs. Doubtfire follows out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard, who will do anything for his kids. After losing custody in a messy divorce, he creates the kindly alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives. The musical comedy features a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell and music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, the Tony-nominated team behind Something Rotten! 

The creative team is led by tour director Steve Edlund, whose work is based on the original direction by four-time Tony winner Jerry Zaks. Edlund is joined by tour choreographer Michaeljon Slinger (based on the original choreography by  Lorin Latarro); arranger and orchestrator Ethan Popp; music supervisor Matthew Smedal; scenic designer David Korins; costume designer Catherine Zuber; lighting designer Philip S. Rosenberg; sound designer Keith Caggiano; tour hair and wig desiger Victoria Tinsman (based on original hair and wig design by David Brian Brown); makeup designer Craig Forrest-Thomas; and casting director Murnane Casting. The touring production is stage managed by Anna Klevit.   

The musical premiered at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre in 2019, subsequently opening on Broadway in 2021.

The second North American tour is produced and general managed by Work Light Productions, and  licensed by Music Theatre International.
