Corbin Bleu, the High School Musical star seen on Broadway in Holiday Inn, Godspell, and In the Heights, will portray Don Lockwood in the St. Louis Muny's summer production of Singin’ in the Rain.
The musical comedy, which will be seen at the outdoor venue June 27–July 3, will be directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), choreographed by Rommy Sandhu, and musically directed by Ben Whiteley.
The cast will also feature Jeffrey Schecter as Cosmo Brown and Indiana University student Berklea Going as Kathy Selden. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

“Singin’ in the Rain is one of the most rapturously joyous musicals ever,” said Muny Artistic Director and Executive Producer Mike Isaacson, “and this trio is sure to make pure magic in this classic show. Corbin thrilled Broadway last season in Holiday Inn, and he is that true Broadway leading man. Shecky is a local legend for his heroic and hilarious performance in Forum last season. Heaven knows he can charm an audience. And summoning the legacy of Debbie Reynolds—who was literally plucked from obscurity for the film of Singin’—I’m thrilled that Berklea (who made her Muny debut at 7) will be our Kathy. What a glorious feeling, indeed!”
Made famous by Gene Kelly, Reynolds, and Donald O’Connor on screen, the musical is a love letter to the Golden Age of Hollywood as cinema star Don Lockwood must transition from silent films to the talkies.
