National Tour News Complete Cast Announced for New On Your Feet! Tour

Luis Salgado will direct and choreograph the non-Equity tour of the biographical musical, launching in November.

Casting is now complete for the new, non-Equity national tour of On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan, launching November 15 at West Palm Beach's Kravis Center for the Performing Arts before visiting 70 cities nationwide.

As previously reported, the company will be led by Gaby Albo and Samuel Garnica as Grammy winners Gloria and Emilio Estefan. Albo and Garnica starred in the acclaimed Spanish-language premiere of On Your Feet! at the GALA Hispanic Theatre in Washington, D.C., helmed by Luis Salgado, who will also direct and choreograph the forthcoming tour. 

The duo will be joined by the newly announced Francisca Tapia as Gloria Fajardo, Adriel Orlando Garcia as José Fajardo, Adela Romero as Consuelo, Lauren Danielle Horgan as Rebecca, Katie McCollum as Young Gloria, and Javier Iván as Young Emilio and Nayib.

The ensemble includes Facundo Agustín, Miguel Flores, Arquímides González, Emilee Hassanzadeh, Marielisa Lugo, Madelin Marchant, Miranda Pepin, Reynel Reynaldo, Ralphie Rivera de Jesús, Angelliz M. Rosado Ramos, Rodolfo Santamarina, Kristen Tarragó, Sebastian Treviño, Zaiedd Vélez, and Marina Vidal.

The band, led by music director Daniel Alejandro Gutierrez on keyboard, will feature Jaime Ibacache Palma on guitar, Jaime Rodriguez on drums, Danny Santiago on bass, Manny Marquez on percussion, Pedro Carrero  on trombone, and Linda Briceño on trumpet.

Mexican actor Albo made her stage debut in A Chorus Line in Mexico, followed by roles in Aladdin, Cats, Mentiras, and the North American tour of West Side Story. She is a graduate of AMDA NY and was a semifinalist on The Voice TV competition in Mexico. Venezuelan actor Garnica’s credits include El Laurel de Apolo and La Canción (Repertorio Español, New York), The Tempest (R.Evolucion Latina), Matilda (Salgado Productions), Love and Yogurt (New York Theater Barn), and The Dropout.

On Your Feet!, which charts the success of multiple Grammy winners Gloria and Emilio Estefan, features a book by Oscar winner Alexander Dinelaris and a score that includes such hits as “Rhythm is Gonna Get You,” “Conga,” “Get On Your Feet,” “Don’t Want To Lose You Now,” “1-2-3,” and “Coming Out of the Dark.”

The production will also have scenic design by Clifton Chadick, lighting design by Christopher Annas-Lee, costume design by Jeannette Christensen, video design by Patrick W. Lord, sound design by Diego Garzón, hair and wig design by Bobbie Zlotnik, casting by Kate Lumpkin Casting, music direction by Gutierrez, musical supervision by Clay Ostwald, music, lyrics, and orchestrations by Emilio and Gloria Estefan, arrangements by Lon Hoyt, additional orchestrations and arrangements by Jorge Casas, Clay Ostwald, and Oscar Hernández. Assisting Salgado are associate director Claudia Mulet and associate choreographer Shani Talmor.

On Your Feet! opened November 5, 2015, at Broadway's Marquis Theatre following previews that began October 5. When it closed August 20, 2017, the production, directed by Jerry Mitchell and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, played 34 previews and 746 regular performances. The musical received seven Outer Critics Circle Award nominations, three Drama League Award nominations, and a Tony nomination for Best Choreography.

The tour is produced by GFour Productions, Evan Bernardin Productions, Salgado Productions, Midnight Theatricals, Jeremiah J. Harris and Alexander Donnelly, Ordinary Magic, Marc David Levine, Sam and Rob Sutton, and GRP Entertainment. It is produced through a special license from Theatrical Rights Worldwide and represented by Columbia Artists Theatricals.
