Da continues through March 8 at the DR2 Theatre.
The cast includes Sean Gormley (The Weir, Transport) as Drumm; Kristin Griffith (It's A Wonderful Life, The Master Builder) as Mrs. Prynne; John Keating (Juno and the Paycock, The Weir) as Charlie's childhood friend, Oliver; Nicola Murphy as Mary Tate; Paul O'Brien (The Weir, Man And Superman) as "Da," Nick Tynan; Ciarán O'Reilly (Juno and the Paycock) as Charlie Tynan; Adam Petherbridge as young Charlie; and Fiana Toibin (Juno and the Paycock) as Maggie Tynan.
"Set in Dublin in the 1960s, Hugh Leonard's award-winning 1978 play Da focuses on Charlie, a middle-aged writer who returns to his childhood home after his father's funeral only to find his father's ghost stubbornly unwilling to leave the house... or his son's mind," press notes state. "As Charlie rustles through his father's belongings, he surrenders to memories — both hilarious and wrenching — and the complex life of his adoptive upbringing appears before our eyes."
Da features scenic design by James Morgan, costume design by Linda Fisher, lighting design by Michael Gottlieb, sound design by Zach Williamson and wigs by Robert Charles Vallance. The production stage manager is Pamela Brusoski, and the assistant stage manager is Melanie Morgan. Casting is by Deborah Brown.
