The live performance was accompanied by a simultaneous projection of the 2011 Lincoln Center concert version of Company, starring Tony winners Neil Patrick Harris and Patti LuPone, serving as the auditory soundtrack. The performance was also accessible via English captions and audio description.

The artistic team for Stephen Sondheim’s Company by Deaf Broadway also included producer Zuercher, DASL (sign master) Kailyn Aaron-Lozano, stage manager Miriam Rochford, and company manager Kimberly Hale with original captions by Stewart Caswell and dramaturgy by Jackson Torii Bart.

With a score by Sondheim and a book by Furth, Company originally opened on Broadway in April 1970. With direction by Harold Prince and musical staging by Michael Bennett, the musical won six 1971 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The most recent, gender-swapped revival, starring Tony winners Katrina Lenk and LuPone, won five 2022 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical.

The performance was presented by Deaf Broadway, which offers musicals with all-Deaf and ASL-signing casts in front of a filmed performance of the musical with English subtitles. The company's past productions include Sweeney Todd and Into the Woods, both also at Lincoln Center; and streamed performances of Les Misérables, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Legally Blonde The Musical, Company, Into the Woods, and Sweeney Todd.
