Off-Broadway News Krysta Rodriguez, Beth Malone, Emily Saliers, More Set for Out of the Box Theatrics' Season Launch Event

Michael Urie will host the non-profit theatre's evening of performances and celebration.

Out of the Box Theatrics (OOTB) has announced the lineup of stars who will appear at the theatre's 2024-2025 season launch event. The celebration will be held January 29 at 154 Christopher St., beginning with a cocktail hour at 7:00 PM. Michael Urie (Spamalot) is set to host. 

Along with the announcement of OOTB's 2024-2025 mainstage productions and programming, the evening will include performances and appearances from Krysta RodriguezMarc Kudisch, Marina Kondo, Michael John LaChiusa, Brenda Braxton, Lou Liberatore, Nasia Thomas, Nicholas Edwards, Jason Michael Webb, Cynthia Meng, Joey Caverly, Andrew Morrill, Chris Ogren, Ryan Spahn, Beth Malone, Emily Saliers, Shelli Pentimall Bookler, Emilio Ramos, Adam Rothenberg, Nathaniel Claridad, Mary Ann Stratton, Sheri Barber, Mallory Portnoy, Dana Scurlock, and Jack DiFalco

The event will also include a selection of performances from OOTB's digital production of The Last Five Years, featuring Nicholas Edwards, Nasia Thomas, and Jason Michael Webb. 

OOTB was founded in 2016 by Liz Flemming, a legally blind artist, to create space for historically underrepresented artists. The company aims to challenge audiences' expectations and create a more equitable theatre industry through innovative, site-specific productions, and inclusive casting. When the New Ohio Theatre closed its doors, OOTB was selected to take over programming at the Christopher St. location.
