Charitybuzz has announced a new live theatre initiative, including their Broadway Curtain Up Auction and the Broadway’s Biggest Fan Giveaway.
The auctions include multiple event experiences and memorabilia, with a few stand-outs being Lin-Manuel Miranda's 2022 Met Gala outfit designed by Paul Tazewell, estimated to have a $10,000 value; a virtual reunion with the original cast of Legally Blonde the Musical, estimated at $2,500 value; and two tickets to POTUS with a meet-and-greet with Susan Stroman, estimated at $2,500 value. The giveaway grants one winner an exclusive one-week experience with eight shows, dinner at a Times Square restaurant, a meet-and-greet with a celebrity, autographed merchandise, and conversations with theatre makers, complete with travel and accommodations.
"The generosity of the theatre community and its remarkable fans has helped those in need for years and we're delighted to again partner with Prizeo to give Broadway lovers more opportunities to make a valuable impact," says Broadway Cares Executive Director Tom Viola. "Everyone who donates is a winner knowing they're providing meals, medication, health care, and hope to those living with HIV/AIDS, struggling with COVID, or facing other debilitating illnesses."

The auction will support Charitybuzz's community of philanthropic organizations geared towards benefitting causes, performing artists, and theatrical organizations. Non-profit organizations include Broadway Cares, The Actors Fund, and theatre companies include the MCC, Manhattan Theatre Club, the Public Theater, Roundabout Theatre Company, and more.
