Cast Set for Concerts of Jennifer Paz-Anthony Fedorov Musical Proud Marys

The new work centers on three Filipino American women who all get pregnant outside of marriage at the same time.

Casting is set for the 3 PM March 29 and 7 PM March 30 performances of Proud Marys – In Concert, the culmination of Prospect Musicals’ 2026 IGNITE Concert Festival at Baruch Performing Arts Center. 

Proud Marys, which has a book and lyrics by Jennifer Paz (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables) and music and lyrics by Anthony Fedorov (American Idol, Rent), follows three daughters who become pregnant out of wedlock at the same time, disrupting the strict traditions of their religious Filipino American family.

The cast will include Joshua Carandang, Liz Casasola, Emy Coligado, Andrew Cristi (A Christmas Story), Marc dela Cruz (Hamilton), Diane Phelan (Into the Woods), Shea Renne (Here Lies Love), Kay Sibal (SIX), Reuben Uy, and Lito Villareal.

The upcoming performances will also feature direction and dramaturgy by Fran de Leon, music direction by Alexander Tom, and assistant music direction by Mikayla Coxe. 

The band includes Daniel Basilio-Fernández on bass, Paige Andrews on drums, and Sungwon Kim on guitar. Stage managers are Chris M. Russo and Christine Viega.

Proud Marys is presented in partnership with National Asian Artists Project as part of NAAP’s Discover Series, and in association with community partner Broadway Barkada.
