Casting is now complete for George Street Playhouse's upcoming production of Joe DiPietro's An Old-Fashioned Family Murder.
As previously reported, two-time Emmy and Golden Globe winner Sally Struthers (All in the Family) will play Mrs. Peck in the production, directed by Larry Raben. Performances will begin October 14 and continue through November 2. Opening night is set for October 17.
Joining Struthers will be the newly announced Tony Carlin (Eureka Day) as Arthur Whittington, Tony nominee Caitlin Kinnunen (The Prom) as Dotty Claythorne, James Taylor Odom (Clue: A New Comedy) as Detective Paul Peck, Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13) as Clarice Claythorne, and Michael Evan Williams (Titanique) as Jasper Jamison. Casting is by McCorkle Casting.
The comic whodunnit center on a murder in a decrepit mansion that comes after a pompous writer reveals a family secret.
On Broadway, Struthers has acted in Wally's Cafe, The Odd Couple, and Grease. She's also become a mainstay of the regional theatre circuit, performing at Musical Theatre West, Casa Mañana, Pittsburgh CLO, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, and many others.
The production will also have scenic design by Robert Kovach, costume design by Molly Walz, lighting design by José Santiago, original sound design by Roger Stoddard with additional sound design by artistic producer Christopher J. Bailey. Samantha Flint will serve as production stage manager, and Caitlyn Ostrowski will serve as the assistant stage manager.
