Broadway News Broadway's Spamalot Will Offer Discounted Tickets With In-Person Rush and Digital Lottery

The Monty Python musical revival begins performances October 31.

Your quest for discounted tickets to Spamalot just got a little easier. The musical, which begins performances October 31 at the St. James Theatre, will offer cheaper tickets via an in-person rush and a digital lottery.  Opening night for the revival is set for November 16.

Rush tickets can be purchased at the St. James box office, two per person for same-day performances. Tickets are $39 each and based on availability. Seats may be partial view. 

A limited number of $44 lottery tickets will be available for every performance on LuckySeat.com. For weekday performances, entries will be accepted until 10:30 AM ET the day of the performance, with winners selected beginning at 11 AM and continuing through the day as needed. For weekend performances, entries will be accepted until 10:30 AM the Friday before, with the winner selection following at 11AM and beyond as needed.

Based on the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the musical follows King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table on their quest for the Holy Grail, complete with coconut-shell horse hooves, a run-in with the Knights Who Say "Ni!," and more. The musical features a book by Eric Idle and a score by Idle and John Du Prez. Josh Rhodes is directing and choreographing after staging the production's premiere at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., earlier this year.

Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin, Hamilton) leads the cast as King Arthur, with Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer (Beetlejuice) as The Lady of the Lake, Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald (Waitress) as Patsy, Tony nominee Ethan Slater (SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical) as The Historian/Prince Herbert, Taran Killam (Hamilton, Saturday Night Live) as Lancelot, Jimmy Smagula (Billy Elliot) as Sir Bedevere, Drama Desk Award winner Michael Urie (Shrinking, Torch Song) as Sir Robin, and Nik Walker (Hamilton) as Sir Galahad.

The production will also have scenic and projection design by Paul Tate dePoo III, costume design by Jen Caprio, lighting design by Cory Pattak, sound design by Kai Harada and Haley Parcher, wig design by Tom Watson, and music direction by John Bell. Casting is by JZ CastingMatthew Lacey will serve as the production stage manager, and RCI Theatricals will serve as general manager.
