Broadway Records and Michael Mott announced the release of a new benefit single, "More Than Me," the proceeds from which will benefit relief efforts in Puerto Rico. Mott has also announced that he will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from his recently released album Abandoned Heart, from which "More Than Me" originates, to The American Red Cross to help people affected by Hurricane Maria.
The single features Shayna Steele, a singer whose Broadway credits include the original Broadway cast of Hairspray and Rent.
In a joint statement, Mott and Broadway Records president Van Dean said, “We are deeply saddened by the devastation that Puerto Rico experienced from Hurricane Maria. As artists it is important to do all that we can to help others and that is why we are donating 100% of the profits of ‘More Than Me’ to help aid the victims of Puerto Rico. This song is about community; about lending a helping hand and offering love and support to those in times of need.”
The single can be purchased at BroadwayRecords.com and is available on all digital platforms including iTunes and Amazon Music.
