Broadway said goodbye to BOOP! The Musical July 13, and audiences packed the Broadhurst Theatre during its final week to catch the Tony-nominated performance of title player Jasmine Amy Rogers. The David Foster-Susan Birkenhead musical, which opened April 5, played to 99.65% capacity crowds during its last week on Broadway, bringing in $833,724 at the box office, up more than $275,000 from the previous week and marking its highest-grossing week. The musical played a total of 25 previews and 112 regular performances.

Similarly, John Proctor is the Villain saw a very healthy attendance for star Sadie Sink's final week in the show, playing to 102.51% capacity (basically standing room)—it was the second highest-attended show of the week behind Just in TimeJohn Proctor continues its run with new lead actor Chiara Aurelia.

With most of the celebrities from this past season having departed, the top five grossing productions for the week ending July 13 were all musicals: Wicked ($2,311,794), The Lion King ($2,190,750), Hamilton ($2,136,762), Sunset Blvd. ($1,974,733), and Aladdin ($1,456,852).

The 30 shows running last week brought in a total of $32,813,389 at the box office, up 7.48% from the previous week, with 14 of the productions bringing in over $1 million apiece. Attendance dipped slightly, less than half a percent, with 260,530 audience members attending a show, paying an average admission of $125.95, up $9.33 from the previous week.

Looking season to season, both grosses and attendance were up from last season, by, respectively, 2.76% and 4.07%. Grosses will likely rise even higher as several productions arrive on Broadway in the next few weeks. First up is the return of the long-running hit Mamma Mia!which will begin performances at the Winter Garden Theatre August 2.
